Dual H Bridge Stepper Motor Driver L298N

The Dual DC motor driver module is ideal for battery-powered smart cars, toy cars, and robots. It features forward or reverse motion, PWM speed control, and dual H-bridge stepper motor capabilities, surpassing the traditional L298N driver.

Product Highlights:

  • Utilizes imported original chip with built-in low on-resistance MOS switch, minimal heat generation, and no need for a heat sink, making it perfect for battery-powered applications.
  • Dual 1.5A continuous current with peak current up to 2.5A, built-in thermal protection circuit, and automatic recovery after temperature drop.

  • Dual H-bridge motor driver capable of driving two DC motors or a 4-wire two-phase stepper motor.

  • Single operating current: 1.5A, peak current up to 2.5A, low standby current (less than 0.1uA).
  • Built-in common conduction circuit prevents motor malfunction when the input pin is left floating.
  • Built-in thermal protection circuit with hysteresis effects (TSD), preventing damage from motor stall.

Precautions:

  • Reversing the power positive and negative connections will cause circuit damage.
  • Output shorted to ground or output short circuit, and motor stall can trigger heat protection. Exceeding 10V voltage and peak current over 2.5A may still burn the chip.

For connection, INx is connected to the MCU I/O port, and MOTOR-A and MOTOR-B are connected to the motor.
